Autocad xref layers not updating
Hope this helps Just keep in mind that doing so will also delete the VPLAYER frozen status of the layers in your external references.You have to weigh whether recreating that is more of a pain than manually updating the color change.
~Unknown~Hi Richard, If you want the base color of the xref to take precedence over the xref color you need to set VISRETAIN to 0.
By the way, when you set it to “0” – you will loose all of your layer ON/Off settings for all xrefs, not just the one that was not working right.
Here is a very handy change to Auto CAD 2016 made after customers requested the functionality to change properties of Layers in an Auto CAD XREF.
Your electrical content is hard to differentiate from the other discipline’s.
If the other disciplines used their layers “BYLAYER” you could easily change how they display in your drawing.
